Invite you to celebrate their marriage on

Saturday September 22

at 5 O'clock in the evening

In Cleveland Metroparks' Brecksville Reservation

by the Oak Grove Picnic Area

CEREMONY & RECEPTION

Please join us from 5-9pm for a short ceremony followed by a casual reception in Brecksville Reservation, located about 30 minutes south of downtown Cleveland.

Ample parking will be available by the picnic area.

For food and refreshments, expect cook-out style fare with vegetarian and gluten free options, as well as an assortment of beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages (sorry, hard liquor is prohibited by the park).

Our venue is kid-friendly, so if you're able and willing, bring the little ones! We expect them to do most of the dancing.

Temperature-controlled trailer bathrooms with running water will be available near the picnic shelter.

We're hoping for mild temperatures and sunshine (of course), but because it's Northeast Ohio, we'll be prepared for uncooperative weather.

GUESTS

We're assuming most of our guests will bring their families or a "plus one." If you'd like to extend the invite to more people, that's fantastic! Just let us know, and we'll try to accomodate.

Won't be able to join us after all? We'll miss you! Send regrets to regrets@joandliz.com.

REGISTRY & GIFTS

Although we appreciate your thoughtful and generous gifts, we have all the things and stuff we need.

In lieu of a registry, we hope you'll consider donating time and/or money to the Conservancy for the Cuyahoga Valley National Park, an organization dedicated to preserving an important and deeply meaningful place to us and countless others.

CVNP has no park fee and is just minutes away from Brecksville. Places we've spent countless hours in include Virgina Kendall Ledges, the Towpath, and Brandywine Falls. We hope you get a chance to explore and see for yourself why this place is such a treasure.

WHERE TO STAY

There are a wide range of hotel options for all budgets within 5-10 miles of the park. We recommend staying in the nearby cities of Independence, Richfield, or Macedonia, which are convenient to both the venue and major highways (I-77, I-480, I-80, and I-271).

Airbnb is also an affordable option for those wanting to share a house with family and friends.

THINGS TO DO

If you're making a getaway of your visit, there's a nearly-endless list of diversions and adventures close by.

A view of downtown Cleveland from the Tremont neighborhood, overlooking greenery and the Ohio & Erie Canalway Towpath Trail.

Interested in the local flavors? thisiscleveland.com highlights food and attractions from the neighborhoods we love most, like Ohio City, University Circle, and Downtown.

For those staying closer to Akron, Stan Hywett Hall & Gardens, the Akron Zoo, and Swenson's Drive Ins are all within city limits.

Looking for free or low-cost things to do? Some of our favorites include watching the sunset over Lake Erie at Edgewater Park, perusing the collections at The Cleveland Museum of Art, and riding bikes along the Ohio & Erie Canalway Towpath Trail.

A picture taken through the trees, with the sun shining, looking out over the Cuyahoga River at a large bridge.

If this will be your first time in Northeast Ohio, we hope you'll feel pleasantly surprised by the beauty, kindness, and positivity that radiates from the people and places here. We think it represents the best of Ohio, and we hope you catch a glimpse of it during your stay.

WE CAN'T WAIT TO CELEBRATE WITH YOU!
